Who We Are -
Venture Crew 159
was chartered
through the First United Methodist Church, 201 W. South Street, in Woodstock, Illinois on July
1st, 2002. We meet every Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m. in
the Venture Room at
the Church.
We are a General
Adventure crew and participate in climbing, rappelling, swimming,
canoeing, caving, whitewater rafting, camping shooting sports, horseback
riding, and general fun.
Each year we
plan a full schedule of events consisting of one or two events each month.
Each year we plan a "super event" such as whitewater rafting.
Our meetings consist of a general business meeting followed by a social
time including refreshments.
We rechartered
this year
with twelve members consisting of seven girls and five boys. Our
members range in age from fourteen to sixteen.
We welcome all high school age young people to
visit and join our crew and join the fun and adventure. |

Crew reviews proposed 2005/2006 event schedule.

Crew to attend Venture Summer Camp at Canyon Camp in Stockton IL,
June 25th - July 1st.

This may be the last year for the Venture Program at Canyon Camp due
to lack of attendance.
